With an upstanding reputation of 22 years, HospiceCare dedicates itself to easing the pain and suffering associated with terminal illnesses while focusing on comfort and maximizing the quality of life. When patients no longer wish to
pursue active treatment, HospiceCare steps in with pain management and emotional support, allowing the patient and the family to cherish their days with less stress.
Patients and families can find reassurance within the arms of HospiceCare, as they offer an entire team of people to assure all needs are met. The team includes the patient's Primary Physician who oversees medical care; a Nurse who makes regular visits and is on call 24 hours a day / 7 days a week; a Social Worker who listens, counsels and offers resources and support; a Certified Nursing Assistant who provides personal care; a Chaplain who is available for assistance with spiritual concerns; a Volunteer who offers a helping hand and a listening ear for the patient and the family; and a Counselor who comforts during the illness and after the death of loved ones for a year.
Patients may choose to receive care in their homes, in a nursing facility or in the Hubbard Hospice House, West Virginia's first home-like facility. The Hubbard House opened its doors in April 2001, and since then, the 12-bedroom facility has remained full with grateful patients.
HospiceCare is proud to serve the following counties: Boone, Clay, Fayette, Jackson, Kanawha, Lincoln, Mason, Nicholas, Putnam and Roane. For more information on how HospiceCare can help you or someone you know, please don't hesitate to call - 304.768.8523.
